Dr. Seuss published over 60 children's books. He also published over a dozen books as Theo LeSieg, and get this one as an author named "Rosetta Stone". I wonder why??
As Dr.Seuss is one of the best children's authors of all time, his other books published under various names have topped many best sellers lists, sold over 222 million copies and have been translated into more than 15 languages. .
In 2000 Publishers Weekly created a list of the best-selling childrens books of all time. Out of the 100 books, 16 were written by Dr. Seuss!! They included "Green Eggs and Ham", at number 4, "The Cat in the Hat" at number 9 and "One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish" at number 13.
After Geisel died in 1991, several books by Seuss have been published. "Hooray for Diffendoofer Day!", "Daisy-Head Mayzie" and My Many Coloured Days. Only "My Many Coloured Days" was written entirely by Dr.Seuss. The others were contructed based on his sketches and notes.
